HEALTH & SAFETY

NECI is committed to providing a healthy and safe working environment for our personnel, visitors, contractors, and clientele.  In association with the Alberta Association for Safety Partnerships (AASP), NECI has developed and implemented Health & Safety policies to minimize and/or mitigate the potential of exposure to risks and hazards in accordance with the ‘Petroleum Industry Guiding Principles For Worker Safety’.  In 2011, NECI obtained its Small Employer Certificate of Recognition (SECOR) accreditation and is registered with the contractor management groups ISNetworld and ComplyWorks.

To ensure all field personnel understand the need for safe operations and develop the skills necessary to work safely, each person is trained in the following:

• Defensive driving
• Ground disturbance level II
• H₂S Alive
• Standard first aid and CPR
• Transportation of dangerous goods (TDG)
• Workplace hazardous material information system (WHMIS GHS)
• NECI’s corporate health and safety orientation program

In addition, NECI provides an extensive graduated on-the-job-training program to ensure all field personnel are prepared and equipped to work safely.

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP

NECI is committed to protecting the environment from impacts related to our operations.  To promote environmental stewardship, NECI commits to the following:

• Exceed all applicable environmental laws and regulations and apply responsible environmental standards where laws and regulations do not exist;
