Reclamation Consultant (Contractor Position)

NECI are currently in the process of developing a strong team of Reclamation Consultants focused in the Central & North Central Alberta regions.

The successful candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Assess reclamation projects according to Alberta Environmental reclamation criteria for abandoned well sites ;
• Aid in the development of reclamation plans and programs;
• Assist with overall reclamation portfolio management including project scoping, cost estimate development, project management, & stakeholder liaison;
• Complete pre-reclamation assessments, earthworks, vegetation management, and detailed site assessments;
• Schedule and supervise the execution of reclamation projects
• Technical report writing; and
• Assist in the completion of reclamation certificate applications

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma with emphasis on soil science and/or reclamation;
• Minimum 5 years of oilfield experience managing reclamation projects;
• Ability to work independently or within a multi-disciplinary team to meet project goals;
• In-depth understanding of the AER Reclamation Criteria as well as working knowledge of the Alberta Tier 1 and 2 Remediation Guidelines;
• Experience with AER One Stop submission system;
• Knowledge of reclamation certificate application process;
• Strong understanding of agriculture and oilfield practices;
• Excellent safety attitude;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Willingness to travel and work in adverse weather conditions; and
• Valid driver’s license
